He is the first Hebrew letter of this verse, and it is the picture of a window. He represents perspective.
The merchant ships of Solomon’s day were very famous. They traveled all around the world collecting the finest articles and goods for Solomon’s use and display.
With this in mind, the wife does not consider distance a factor when seeking out the things her family needs. She purchases the best she can find. Her perspective is that God has given her a wonderful husband and family, and she wants what is best for them.
This does not mean she spends exorbitant amounts of money. She finds the best quality for the price she can afford, even if she has to go accros town instead of running to the corner store. She has a balanced perspective in caring for her husband and children.
