Proverbs 31:12 – Giymel

[bibleblock]Proverb 31:12[/bibleblock]

Beth

This verse begins with the Hebrew letter giymel, which depicts a camel and the main part is its head.  The camel’s head never moves while it is running, which speaks of dependability.

The camel was the most dependable animal in the ancient world.  Whether you were going through a forest or into the desert, his head was always up and pointed straight ahead.  Watching to not trip and cause injury to itself or its rider. He kept on going, rain or shine.

The virtuous woman can be depended on by her husband.  She is not moved by circumstances; she is only moved by the Spirit and Word or God.  She brings nothing but good to him every day of his life, which means she knows how to endure and persevere.  She’s not dependable one moment and irresponsible and flaky the next.  She is consistently faithful in all things.
