Proverbs 31:11 – Beth
[bibleblock]Proverb 31:11[/bibleblock]
![]()
This verse begins with the Hebrew letter beth, which is a picture of a house with only one door. This speaks of total trust.
When a husband is able to share his whole life with his wife and know his confidences are safe with her, his heart trusts in her. The security he enjoys at home is so strong that he feels no need to go after other women. Why should a husband go and and steal a used car when he’s got a luxury model at home?
A marriage is not only based on the goose bumps of love but on the trust of friendship. Romance is great, but it is the time you devote to developing friendship and trust with your mate that will keep your marriage together. The letter beth indicates the house is not merely a building where a family lives, but a home. A home is a safe place of love, fellowship, communication, and trust – a place where you like to spend your time. For this husband and wife, their home is their favorite place.
