The Heart and Mouth Connection
The Bible teaches that there is a strong link between your mouth and your heart. In the following Proverb, the two are used as interchangeable in a comparison between the righteous and the wicked:

For a wise man, the heart and mouth work together to do good:

For an evil person, they work together for evil:
[bibleblock]Matthew 12:34[/bibleblock]
So the contents of your heart, whether good or evil, determine what comes out of your mouth.

What does this mean for you and I? If you find your mouth saying things it shouldn’t, your first step should be to examine the contents of your heart!
