A Child’s Rebuttal
I heard this great anecdote a while back, and I wanted to share it here.
A child is trying to do a report on Easter, and the teacher is adamant that she may not talk about Jesus, but the child is devout, “It’s Easter, what else would I talk about, Easter is about Jesus.”
To which the teacher replies, “You Christians are all the same, spouting about fairy tales. You know the Roman soldiers took his body.”
“No they didn’t!” replied the girl.
“Then prove it.” says the teacher.
The little girl thinks and says, “I can’t, but when I get to heaven I’ll ask the guards, and they’ll tell me.”
The teacher smirks, “What if they aren’t Heaven?”
The little girl smoothed her dress, as she calmly replied, “Then you can ask them yourself.”
The truth can hurt sometimes, can’t it.
